Witam,
przegooglowałem wszystko co sie dalo wiec komentarze tego typu mozecie oszczędzić

dokładnie o to chodzi tylko że te barany z Nvidi nic z tym nie zrobiły.
Generalnie chodzi o to że wysiada całkowicie wyświetlanie grafiki, robi się mozaika na monitorze.
Myślałem że to Compiz z KDE 4.2 gryzie się ze sterownikami jednak po całkowitej reinstalacji i powrocie do KDE 3.5 oraz posadzeniu WM - fluxbox'a stało sie to samo.
Ponadto KDE 4.2 zgłaszał następujący błąd:
"Composing was too slow and has been suspended..."
Problem jest znany i stary, tylko czy ktokolwiek natknął się na rozwiązanie ?

Ja używam Debiana z kernelem 2.6.30 i najnowszymi sterownikami nvidia i tez nie mam tego problemu, w ogole nie słyszałem o nim wcześniej.

Jakiej wersji sterowników uzywasz i jaką masz kartę? Wersja X-ów najnowsza?

Moge ci na razie poradzic jedynie aktulizację xorga, zainstaluj bieżącą wersję z Sida i zobacz czy coś pomoże. Ale najprawdopodobniej sterowniki pod linuksa nie obsługują jeszcze twojej karty.

Xorg, wszystko zaktualizowane, karta jest już od paru miesięcy na liście obsługiwanych. Problem ciągle występuje, własnie ukazały sie sterowniki wersji 190. jednak co ciekawe w ogóle u mnie nie działają, czarny ekran...

ok stery 190. mają bug'a
napisze czy ich ulepszony release jest wolny od błędów ze "screen freeze"

po dwoch dniach testów wersji 190.18 stwierdzam ze (oby) zniknely zamrożenia ekranu, system zgłasza (raz dotychczas) że COMPOSING WAS TOO SLOW... ale nie wiąże się to już z zawiasem, moża dalej pracować.
PS: z wyłączeniem eye-candy takze jest zgłaszany ten bład wiec to nie wina przeładowania efektami.
